The Light That Cannot Be Overcome
Darkness is something we all understand. There are seasons when life seems uncertain, difficult, and even overwhelming. We may face circumstances that we cannot understand, burdens we cannot carry, and questions for which we have no answers. Yet John reminds us of a glorious truth: the darkness does not overcome the light.
Jesus Christ is the Light. When He came into this world, He came into a world filled with sin, sorrow, confusion, and spiritual darkness. Yet the darkness could not extinguish Him. Men rejected Him, mocked Him, crucified Him, and placed Him in a tomb—but the Light still shone.
The same is true in our lives. Darkness may surround us, but it does not have the final word. A small light can penetrate a great darkness, but darkness can never penetrate or overcome light. When we belong to Christ, we have a Light that cannot be extinguished by circumstances, trials, disappointment, or even death.
Perhaps today you are walking through a dark place. You may not be able to see what God is doing, but you can trust the One who is the Light. You do not need to understand everything when you know the One who does. Keep walking with Christ. Keep trusting His Word. Keep your eyes upon Him.
The darkness may be real, but so is the Light—and the darkness cannot overcome it.
When life feels dark, deliberately turn your attention to Christ and His Word. Instead of focusing on what you cannot see, trust the One who sees everything.
"Blessed is the man that trusteth in the LORD, and whose hope the LORD is." — Jeremiah 17:7

Trusting God With Tomorrow (Pt. 3)
In this final part of the message, “Trusting God with Tomorrow,” we are brought face to face with a powerful truth from Scripture—while we often plan our days and assume the future, the Bible teaches us that life is fragile, uncertain, and completely in God’s hands. As James reminds us, our life is “even a vapour” that appears for a little time and then vanishes away . The issue is not planning, but planning without God—living as though we are in control of what only God knows.
This message walks through the heart of biblical trust: having a proper perspective of tomorrow, a humble posture before God today, and a surrendered plan that says, “If the Lord will.” Whether facing uncertainty, fear, or the illusion of control, we are called to draw near to God, rest in His care, and trust that His will is good, even when tomorrow is unknown. Because Christ has risen, our future is secure—not in our plans, but in His perfect hands.
