Trusting God With Tomorrow (Pt. 3)

In this final part of the message, “Trusting God with Tomorrow,” we are brought face to face with a powerful truth from Scripture—while we often plan our days and assume the future, the Bible teaches us that life is fragile, uncertain, and completely in God’s hands. As James reminds us, our life is “even a vapour” that appears for a little time and then vanishes away . The issue is not planning, but planning without God—living as though we are in control of what only God knows.

This message walks through the heart of biblical trust: having a proper perspective of tomorrow, a humble posture before God today, and a surrendered plan that says, “If the Lord will.” Whether facing uncertainty, fear, or the illusion of control, we are called to draw near to God, rest in His care, and trust that His will is good, even when tomorrow is unknown. Because Christ has risen, our future is secure—not in our plans, but in His perfect hands.

When the Hurt Becomes the Hand of God

There are seasons in life when the weight feels unbearable. The pressures do not let up, the burdens seem constant, and the heart grows tired from carrying what feels like too much for too long. In those moments, it is easy to wonder what God is doing—or even if He is doing anything at all. Yet, as A. W. Tozer wisely said, “It is doubtful whether God can bless a man greatly until He has hurt him deeply.” That truth is not meant to wound us further, but to help us see that God often does His deepest work in our deepest pain.

Paul understood this kind of suffering. He pleaded with God to remove his “thorn in the flesh,” but God did not take it away. Instead, God gave him something greater—His grace. Not a future promise only, but a present, sustaining strength. Pain has a way of stripping away our self-reliance. It humbles us, quiets us, and brings us to a place where we are no longer trusting in our own ability to carry life, but fully leaning on God. And while that process is painful, it is also powerful. God is not wasting your hurt—He is shaping you through it.

Right now, you may not see the harvest of what God is doing. You may only feel the weight of it. But the very place that feels like breaking may actually be the place where God is building something deeper in you—greater faith, greater dependence, and a closer walk with Him. He is near to the brokenhearted. He is not absent in your struggle; He is present in it. And His grace is not just enough—it is exactly what you need for this moment.

Preaching and Teaching God's Timeless Truths A Message from Pastor Burns

Dear Listener,

For over eight years, Timeless Truths Radio Ministry has had the privilege of broadcasting the Word of God throughout the Waterloo Region. Every Sunday morning at 8:30 AM, we open the Scriptures together on 93.7 FM, sharing the unchanging truths that continue to transform lives.

Our goal is simple but vital: to preach the Timeless Truths of the Word of God. We believe that the Bible is our final authority—not just in doctrine, but in every part of life. When we open God’s Word, we find hope, direction, and the power to change.

We invite you to join us each week as we seek what God has for us. Whether you’ve been listening for years or are just tuning in for the first time, we pray that His truth will encourage and challenge you.

Thank you for allowing us to be part of your Sunday mornings. We look forward to spending time together in God’s Word.
