Our world speaks often of the “Seven Wonders of the World.” They are remarkable achievements of human history and imagination. The Great Wall of China winds thousands of miles across rugged mountains, built stone by stone for protection. Petra stands carved into rose-colored rock, an entire city shaped by patient hands. Christ the Redeemer stretches its massive arms high above Rio, a towering figure overlooking the city below. Machu Picchu rests hidden in the Andes Mountains, a breathtaking reminder of ancient engineering. Chichen Itza rises in geometric precision, reflecting astronomical brilliance. Roman Colosseum echoes with history, its arches still standing after centuries. And the Taj Mahal gleams in white marble, a monument built as an expression of love.
Each of these wonders required years of labor, skill, sacrifice, and vision. They are impressive. They inspire awe. But Psalm 40 reminds us that God’s wonders cannot even be numbered.
Man had to quarry stone to build the Wall. God spoke and created mountains. Man carved Petra from rock. God formed the rock itself. Man raised a statue of Christ with open arms. God sent the real Christ to stretch His arms wide on a cross for our redemption. Ancient builders engineered cities in the clouds. God hung the clouds in the sky. Architects aligned pyramids with the stars. God created the stars and calls them all by name.
The world counts seven wonders. Heaven would say the wonders of the Lord are beyond counting. The wonder of salvation. The wonder of grace for sinners. The wonder of the empty tomb. The wonder that God hears prayer. The wonder that He changes hearts and gives eternal life. The greatest wonder is not what man can build for God, but what God has done for man.

Let the greatness of human achievements turn your heart toward the greater works of God. When something impresses you, let it lead you to worship. Praise Him for His creation, but even more for your salvation.

7 And when Phinehas, the son of Eleazar, the son of Aaron the priest, saw it, he rose up from among the congregation, and took a javelin in his hand;
8 And he went after the man of Israel into the tent, and thrust both of them through, the man of Israel, and the woman through her belly. So the plague was stayed from the children of Israel.
9 And those that died in the plague were twenty and four thousand.
10 And the Lord spake unto Moses, saying,
11 Phinehas, the son of Eleazar, the son of Aaron the priest, hath turned my wrath away from the children of Israel, while he was zealous for my sake among them, that I consumed not the children of Israel in my jealousy.
12 Wherefore say, Behold, I give unto him my covenant of peace:
13 And he shall have it, and his seed after him, even the covenant of an everlasting priesthood; because he was zealous for his God, and made an atonement for the children of Israel.
14 Now the name of the Israelite that was slain, even that was slain with the Midianitish woman, was Zimri, the son of Salu, a prince of a chief house among the Simeonites.
15 And the name of the Midianitish woman that was slain was Cozbi, the daughter of Zur; he was head over a people, and of a chief house in Midian.
16 And the Lord spake unto Moses, saying,
17 Vex the Midianites, and smite them:
18 For they vex you with their wiles, wherewith they have beguiled you in the matter of Peor, and in the matter of Cozbi, the daughter of a prince of Midian, their sister, which was slain in the day of the plague for Peor’s sake.
Luke 2:1-35

10 And the angel said unto them, Fear not: for, behold, I bring you good tidings of great joy, which shall be to all people.
11 For unto you is born this day in the city of David a Saviour, which is Christ the Lord.
12 And this shall be a sign unto you; Ye shall find the babe wrapped in swaddling clothes, lying in a manger.
13 And suddenly there was with the angel a multitude of the heavenly host praising God, and saying,
14 Glory to God in the highest, and on earth peace, good will toward men.
15 And it came to pass, as the angels were gone away from them into heaven, the shepherds said one to another, Let us now go even unto Bethlehem, and see this thing which is come to pass, which the Lord hath made known unto us.
16 And they came with haste, and found Mary, and Joseph, and the babe lying in a manger.
17 And when they had seen it, they made known abroad the saying which was told them concerning this child.

21 And when eight days were accomplished for the circumcising of the child, his name was called JESUS, which was so named of the angel before he was conceived in the womb.
22 And when the days of her purification according to the law of Moses were accomplished, they brought him to Jerusalem, to present him to the Lord;

1 Deliver me from mine enemies, O my God: defend me from them that rise up against me.

12 For the sin of their mouth and the words of their lips let them even be taken in their pride: and for cursing and lying which they speak.
13 Consume them in wrath, consume them, that they may not be: and let them know that God ruleth in Jacob unto the ends of the earth. Selah.

Trust in Him
Trusting God With Tomorrow (Pt. 3)
In this final part of the message, “Trusting God with Tomorrow,” we are brought face to face with a powerful truth from Scripture—while we often plan our days and assume the future, the Bible teaches us that life is fragile, uncertain, and completely in God’s hands. As James reminds us, our life is “even a vapour” that appears for a little time and then vanishes away . The issue is not planning, but planning without God—living as though we are in control of what only God knows.
This message walks through the heart of biblical trust: having a proper perspective of tomorrow, a humble posture before God today, and a surrendered plan that says, “If the Lord will.” Whether facing uncertainty, fear, or the illusion of control, we are called to draw near to God, rest in His care, and trust that His will is good, even when tomorrow is unknown. Because Christ has risen, our future is secure—not in our plans, but in His perfect hands.
