Now ye Philippians know also, that in the beginning of the gospel, when I departed from Macedonia, no church communicated with me as concerning giving and receiving, but ye only. — Philippians 4:15

Paul reminds them of their history of support. When he left Philippi and went to Thessalonica, this church stood alone in helping him. No other church communicated with him concerning giving and receiving, but they did. And they did it more than once.
This is remarkable because this was a poor church. Yet even in poverty, they were rich in generosity. They were aware of the need, and they responded. They became true partners in the work of God.
