Paul makes it clear-he has not arrived. He is not perfect, and he has not reached full maturity. Yet he is pressing forward. The Christian life is not about arriving-it is about pursuing. Paul is following after Christ, desiring to lay hold of that for which Christ laid hold of him.
This shows humility. Even the apostle Paul did not see himself as complete. He was still growing, still pursuing, still pressing on.
