Paul sends Epaphroditus back to the church so that they might rejoice when they see him again. Paul understood that while Epaphroditus was a help to him, he was more needed at Philippi.
This reflects a key truth-if we are still here, God has a purpose for us. Like Paul said earlier (Philippians 1:24), it may be more needful for us to remain for the sake of others.
