The blame continues. Eve blames the serpent.
This is the first time someone essentially said, “The devil made me do it.”
Eve was deceived. 2 Corinthians 11:3 says the serpent beguiled Eve through his subtilty. The word beguiled means to trick or deceive.
But even though Eve was deceived, she was still responsible. She says, “I did eat.”
Adam blamed Eve. Eve blamed the serpent. But both had sinned.
We are quick to blame others for our choices, but God brings every person face to face with personal responsibility.
