Genesis 2:10 | Pastor Burns' Study Notes

And a river went out of Eden to water the garden; and from thence it was parted, and became into four heads. — Genesis 2:10

A river went out of Eden to water the garden, and from there it divided into four heads.

Normally, smaller rivers join together to form a larger river. But here, the opposite is true. One river feeds four rivers. This shows the abundance and uniqueness of Eden.

The garden was full of life and provision. God had made a place that was well-watered and fruitful.
