Exodus 8:8 | Pastor Burns' Study Notes

Then Pharaoh called for Moses and Aaron, and said, Intreat the LORD, that he may take away the frogs from me, and from my people; and I will let the people go, that they may do sacrifice unto the LORD. — Exodus 8:8

“Intreat the Lord… I will let the people go…”

Pharaoh seeks relief, not repentance. He wants the consequences removed, but not his heart changed.

Many people do the same-they want God to fix their situation without surrendering to Him (Psalm 78:34-37, 2 Corinthians 7:10).
