The “mystery of iniquity” was already working in Paul’s day. Mystery in Scripture refers to something once hidden but now revealed by God. Satan’s system of rebellion against truth has been active throughout history.
This mystery includes false religion, deception, corruption of truth, and humanity’s rejection of God. Satan desires worship, rebellion, and the destruction of souls.
The spirit of Antichrist is already active in this world. Every false gospel, false religion, and anti-biblical worldview participates in this ongoing rebellion against truth.
