The Antichrist’s ultimate desire is worship. Satan has always desired to exalt himself above God. Lucifer said, “I will be like the most High.” His rebellion began with pride, and it will climax in the Antichrist presenting himself as god.
This future world ruler will oppose everything connected to the true God and will eventually sit in the temple proclaiming himself to be divine. This is the culmination of Satan’s war against truth.
At the center of all false religion is man replacing God.
