Galatians 5:23 | Bro. Robert Mahar

Meekness, temperance: against such there is no law. — Galatians 5:23

Meekness is not weakness. It is strength under control. It is the spirit of a believer who does not have to defend himself, exalt himself, or retaliate when wronged. Temperance is self-control. The Spirit-led man is not ruled by his passions, his mouth, his temper, or his appetites.

Paul says, “against such there is no law.” No law condemns love, joy, peace, patience, gentleness, goodness, faith, meekness, or self-control. These are the marks of a life under the control of God. The Spirit does not lead us into bondage; He leads us into Christlikeness.
