Jesus says love is the identifying mark of a true disciple.
Notice what He does not say.
He does not say:
He says: “By your love.”
The world should see something different in believers.
Not arrogance.
Not pride.
Not bitterness.
But Christlike love.
This love is evidence of God’s work within us. It is the Holy Spirit producing His nature through surrendered believers.
Now this does not mean compromising truth. Jesus was full of grace and truth. Biblical love does not ignore sin-it points people to the Saviour.
Our love for one another becomes a testimony to the world that Jesus truly changes lives (1 John 4:7-12, Colossians 3:12-14, Ephesians 4:15).
