Naomi’s plan wasn’t about manipulation-it was about trusting God’s provision and following His ways. Ruth, in faith and humility, obeys. Her actions at the threshing floor-lying at Boaz’s feet-represent her submission and need for redemption.
This chapter paints a beautiful picture of Jesus Christ, our Redeemer, who invites us to rest in Him. Like Ruth, we are called to trust in God’s plan, approach Him in humility, and receive His grace. Boaz, representing Christ, responds not only with a promise to redeem but also with immediate provision-a reminder that God blesses us even while we wait for full redemption.
This chapter reminds us of three powerful truths:
• The Plan of Redemption - God’s heart is to give rest to the weary through Christ.
• The Promise of Redemption - Jesus is willing, able, and qualified to save those who come to Him.
• The Provision of Redemption - He gives us peace and spiritual blessings now, with the assurance of complete redemption to come.
