Paul now gives a warning. There are many who walk contrary to the truth. He had warned them before, and now he repeats it with sorrow-even weeping.
These are enemies of the cross-not necessarily outward enemies, but those whose lives oppose the message of the cross. The cross calls for humility, sacrifice, and death to self-but these individuals live in opposition to that.
