There are times in life when we do not need another explanation as much as we need the reminder that God is near. The storm may still be blowing, the questions may still be unanswered, and the burden may still be heavy, but the child of God has this blessed assurance: we are not facing it alone. Psalm 46 does not tell us that the mountains never shake or that the waters never roar. It tells us that when they do, God is still in the midst of His people.
As a pastor, I have watched dear people walk through valleys they never would have chosen. I have seen families sit in hospital rooms, parents pray over wayward children, widows face lonely evenings, and believers try to keep going when their hearts were tired. And often, the great comfort was not that they understood everything God was doing, but that they knew He was with them. There is a peace that comes when the soul can say, “God is here. He has not left me. He knows where I am.”
That little phrase, “and that right early,” is precious. God’s help may not always come when we think it should, but it always comes at the right time. Sometimes we want the Lord to move before the night gets dark, but He often teaches us that He can keep us through the night until the morning turns. His timing is not careless. His delays are not neglect. He knows the exact moment when strength is needed, grace is needed, wisdom is needed, and deliverance is needed.
Maybe you are waiting for the morning right now. Maybe you are living in that hour where you know God can help, but you are wondering when He will. Take heart. If God is in the midst, you shall not be moved. That does not mean you will never cry, never tremble, or never feel weak. It means your life is resting in the hands of One who cannot be shaken. The storm may move many things around you, but it cannot move your God.
So today, do not measure God’s faithfulness by how calm your circumstances feel. Measure it by His promise. He is with you. He is your refuge. He is your strength. He will help, and He will help at the right time. Until then, keep trusting, keep praying, keep walking, and keep resting in the God who is in the midst.

21 The Lord rewarded me according to my righteousness: according to the cleanness of my hands hath he recompensed me.
22 For I have kept the ways of the Lord, and have not wickedly departed from my God.
23 For all his judgments were before me: and as for his statutes, I did not depart from them.
24 I was also upright before him, and have kept myself from mine iniquity.

17 And he said, Be it far from me, O Lord, that I should do this: is not this the blood of the men that went in jeopardy of their lives? therefore he would not drink it. These things did these three mighty men.
18 And Abishai, the brother of Joab, the son of Zeruiah, was chief among three. And he lifted up his spear against three hundred, and slew them, and had the name among three.
19 Was he not most honourable of three? therefore he was their captain: howbeit he attained not unto the first three.
20 And Benaiah the son of Jehoiada, the son of a valiant man, of Kabzeel, who had done many acts, he slew two lionlike men of Moab: he went down also and slew a lion in the midst of a pit in time of snow:
21 And he slew an Egyptian, a goodly man: and the Egyptian had a spear in his hand; but he went down to him with a staff, and plucked the spear out of the Egyptian’s hand, and slew him with his own spear.
22 These things did Benaiah the son of Jehoiada, and had the name among three mighty men.

Acts 2:1-47
1 And when the day of Pentecost was fully come, they were all with one accord in one place.

Psalm 122:1-9
1 I was glad when they said unto me, Let us go into the house of the Lord.

Trust in Him
Trusting God With Tomorrow (Pt. 3)
In this final part of the message, “Trusting God with Tomorrow,” we are brought face to face with a powerful truth from Scripture—while we often plan our days and assume the future, the Bible teaches us that life is fragile, uncertain, and completely in God’s hands. As James reminds us, our life is “even a vapour” that appears for a little time and then vanishes away . The issue is not planning, but planning without God—living as though we are in control of what only God knows.
This message walks through the heart of biblical trust: having a proper perspective of tomorrow, a humble posture before God today, and a surrendered plan that says, “If the Lord will.” Whether facing uncertainty, fear, or the illusion of control, we are called to draw near to God, rest in His care, and trust that His will is good, even when tomorrow is unknown. Because Christ has risen, our future is secure—not in our plans, but in His perfect hands.
