Looking to God
There are moments when our eyes become fixed on everything that is wrong. We look at the problem, the uncertainty, the pressure, and the things we cannot control. The longer we stare at them, the heavier our hearts become.
David reminds us that those who looked unto the Lord were “lightened.” Their circumstances may not have changed immediately, but something changed within them. Fear gave way to faith. Shame gave way to hope. Darkness gave way to light.
God never asks us to have all the answers. He simply asks us to look to Him. He is greater than the trial before us, stronger than the fear within us, and faithful in every season of life.
Today, turn your eyes away from what you cannot fix and look to the One who holds everything in His hands.
When worry begins to rise, pause and deliberately turn your thoughts toward God. Remember His promises, His power, and His past faithfulness.
"Who is among you that feareth the LORD, That obeyeth the voice of his servant, That walketh in darkness, and hath no light? Let him trust in the name of the LORD, And stay upon his God." — Isaiah 50:10

What are you Seeking? (Part 2)
In this message, "What are you Seeking? (Part 2)," Pastor Burns explains how many people search for meaning and purpose in all the wrong places. Just as Solomon sought fulfillment in worldly success and great wealth only to find it vanity and vexation of spirit, listeners will learn that true answers cannot be found in dead works, rituals, or philosophies.
Turning to John 20, listeners will hear how Mary Magdalene went to the tomb searching for Jesus and discovered that He had risen. Pastor Burns shares how the reality of Christ’s resurrection provides eternal life, encouraging everyone to choose life, since Jesus is "the way, the truth, and the life."
