God’s Asterisks in the Night Sky
You often find in a book or manuscript a small star calling your attention to a footnote—something important that should not be missed. That little symbol, the asterisk, quietly points you to a deeper explanation. In much the same way, the stars scattered across the night sky are God’s asterisks. They are not random decorations or distant accidents; they are deliberate markers, drawing our eyes and hearts upward, reminding us that there is an all-observing, all-knowing Creator who stands behind it all.
When we pause long enough to consider it, creation itself begins to speak. Every nerve in the human body reads like divine handwriting. Every muscle works with intentional design, every bone bears the marks of careful craftsmanship, and every eye reflects the wisdom of the One who sees all things. Nothing about us is accidental. We are fearfully and wonderfully made, living testimonies that God is not distant, detached, or unaware. He is intimately involved in what He has created.
In a world that often rushes past wonder and ignores truth, these divine asterisks still quietly point us back to God. They remind us to slow down, to look up, and to remember that our lives are lived before His watchful eye. Let the stars above and the design within you draw your attention again to Him today—not merely to admire His power, but to rest in His presence and walk in humble awareness that every moment of life is lived under His gracious gaze.
Slow down and notice God’s reminders around you. Let creation and your own design draw your heart back to Him, and live each day with humble awareness that your life is seen, known, and lovingly watched over by God.
"As for God, his way is perfect; The word of the LORD is tried: He is a buckler to all them that trust in him." — 2 Samuel 22:31

Trusting God in the Storms (Pt. 2)
Storms don’t schedule appointments. One moment the sun is shining, the next the wind is howling and everything feels out of control. In this message from Mark 6, we walk with the disciples into a very real storm on the Sea of Galilee — tired, rowing hard, and making little progress. The wind was contrary. The night was long. And Jesus was not in the boat… at least not yet.
But what they did not realize was that while they were fighting the storm, Jesus was watching from the mountain. He saw them toiling. And in the fourth watch of the night — when strength was gone and hope was thin — He came walking on the water. When they acknowledged Him, everything changed. The storm ceased. The fear faded. The destination was reached.
Most of us know what it feels like to row against contrary winds — burdens, opposition, uncertainty, exhaustion. Proverbs 3 reminds us that storms reveal what we’re leaning on. “Trust in the Lord with all thine heart; and lean not unto thine own understanding.” The question is not if storms will come — Isaiah 43 says when. The question is: Who are you trusting when they do?
In this message, we explore three powerful truths: a reliance upon God, a recognition of His presence, and a rebuke against trusting our own wisdom. Calm does not come from better rowing — it comes from Christ in the boat. Join us as we learn how to put all our weight down and trust Him fully, even when the winds are strong.
