This sermon takes a clear, biblical look at a subject many avoid: the reality of the devil. Scripture reveals Satan not as a myth or symbol, but as a real, created spiritual being—a fallen angel who deceives, tempts, accuses, and actively opposes everything God loves. From Genesis to Revelation, the Bible consistently exposes his character, methods, and ultimate defeat, reminding us that ignorance of his devices is dangerous. Satan targets marriages, families, churches, truth, purity, and the gospel itself, often appearing as an “angel of light” to twist Scripture and draw hearts away from Christ. Yet this study is not meant to produce fear but confidence, because while Satan is powerful, he is limited, and he is already defeated through the cross and resurrection of Jesus Christ. As believers, we are called to be sober, vigilant, submitted to God, and anchored in the truth that “greater is He that is in you, than he that is in the world.”
