Learn MoreBuilt One Stick at a Time
Deep in a northern wetland in Alberta, there is a structure that stretches nearly half a mile across the landscape—a massive wall of sticks and mud. It wasn’t designed by engineers or built with machines. It was built by beavers. What makes it even more remarkable is not just its size, but how it came to be.
Sometime in the 1970s, a single beaver family began with something small. They slowed a narrow stream, placed a few branches, and sealed the gaps with mud. Their goal was simple—to raise the water level so they could live safely. But what started as a small effort didn’t stay small. Generation after generation returned to the same place. They didn’t tear it down or start over—they simply added to it. A few more sticks. A little more mud. Small, almost unnoticed progress year after year.
Decades passed, and what began as a modest structure became the largest known beaver dam on Earth—so large it can be seen from space. There was no master blueprint. No single moment of greatness. Just consistent, faithful building over time. That is a powerful picture of the Christian life.
We often want instant growth, dramatic results, and visible success. But God’s work in our lives usually looks much more like that dam—quiet, steady, and built over time. A prayer here. A step of obedience there. A verse remembered. A sin confessed. A burden carried to the Lord. None of it seems impressive in the moment, but over time, God is building something far greater than we can see.
The danger is that we despise the small things. We think a single act of faith doesn’t matter. But God sees differently. He takes those small, faithful moments and uses them to shape a life that stands strong.
Preaching and Teaching God's Timeless Truths A Message from Pastor Burns
Dear Listener,
For over eight years, Timeless Truths Radio Ministry has had the privilege of broadcasting the Word of God throughout the Waterloo Region. Every Sunday morning at 8:30 AM, we open the Scriptures together on 93.7 FM, sharing the unchanging truths that continue to transform lives.
Our goal is simple but vital: to preach the Timeless Truths of the Word of God. We believe that the Bible is our final authority—not just in doctrine, but in every part of life. When we open God’s Word, we find hope, direction, and the power to change.
We invite you to join us each week as we seek what God has for us. Whether you’ve been listening for years or are just tuning in for the first time, we pray that His truth will encourage and challenge you.
Thank you for allowing us to be part of your Sunday mornings. We look forward to spending time together in God’s Word.
