Matthew 6:27 “Which of you by taking thought can add one cubit unto his stature?”
Worry rarely begins as a conscious choice. It often grows into a habit—something we return to automatically. Jesus exposes its emptiness by asking a simple question: what has worry ever truly added to your life? It has not lengthened days, strengthened faith, or solved tomorrow.
When God is first, worry loses its grip. Faith becomes the reflex instead of fear. This does not mean concerns vanish overnight, but it does mean we stop rehearsing worst-case scenarios and start rehearsing God’s promises.
Has worry become a familiar companion? Ask the Lord to retrain your heart to respond with trust instead of fear.
