When Life Feels Against You

Mark 6:48 “And he saw them toiling in rowing; for the wind was contrary unto them: and about the fourth watch of the night he cometh unto them, walking upon the sea, and would have passed by them.”

Sometimes the wind of life pushes hard against us. We row, we strain, we sweat—yet it feels like we’re getting nowhere. That’s where the disciples were. In the middle of the sea, in the middle of the night, and in the middle of a storm. But then, in their weakest moment, Jesus came. He saw them. He didn’t just know about their trouble—He saw it. And He moved toward them.

It’s comforting to know that Jesus doesn’t wait for us to reach the shore before showing up. He meets us right in the middle of the waves. He doesn’t always stop the storm immediately, but He never leaves us to face it alone. When the wind is against you, don’t think God has forgotten you. He’s watching. He’s praying. And He’s on His way to help.
