Matthew 6:26 “Yet your heavenly Father feedeth them. Are ye not much better than they?”
It is possible to believe in God and still forget who provides. We work hard, plan carefully, and prepare responsibly—but somewhere along the way, the heart can quietly shift its trust from God to effort. Jesus gently pulls our attention back to the Father, reminding us that provision has always been His work.
The birds do not understand the economy, yet they are fed. The flowers do not strive for beauty, yet they are clothed. God’s care did not begin when we became anxious, and it will not end when circumstances grow uncertain. Remembering this restores humility—and peace.
Have you been trusting more in your effort than in your Father? Pause and thank God for His faithful provision in your life.
