Jeremiah 7:4 “Trust ye not in lying words, saying, The temple of the LORD… are these.“
Israel trusted the temple more than the God who dwelt there. They believed as long as the building stood, they were safe. But God was after their hearts, not their routines.
We can do the same. We can trust church involvement, Christian upbringing, or biblical knowledge instead of Christ Himself. But faith is personal. I can’t live on borrowed faith, and neither can you. God calls us to walk with Him daily.
