The Shepherd’s Abundant Life

John 10:10 “I am come that they might have life, and that they might have it more abundantly.”

The Good Shepherd doesn’t just rescue His sheep from danger—He blesses them with abundant life. This is more than survival; it is spiritual flourishing. Abundant life is not about wealth, status, or ease. It is the joy of sins forgiven, the peace of His presence, the strength of His Spirit, and the hope of eternal life.

Think of it: without Christ, we are wandering, exposed, and empty. But with Christ, our lives overflow with meaning and security. The Shepherd leads us to green pastures and still waters—not always free from trials, but always filled with His presence. That is abundance: having everything you need because you have Him.
