Ephesians 6:15 “And your feet shod with the preparation of the gospel of peace.”
The Roman soldier’s boots weren’t for comfort—they were for combat. With hobnailed soles and ankle protection, they gave him the grip to hold ground and the readiness to march forward. Paul says we are to have our spiritual feet shod with the preparation of the Gospel of peace. That word “preparation” means readiness. Are you ready to stand for truth? Ready to defend your peace? Ready to press on when the path gets rocky?
We don’t fight for peace—we fight with peace. The Gospel grounds us with the unshakable truth that we are at peace with God. Before Christ, we were enemies. Now, through His blood, we’re children. That kind of peace brings stability. You don’t have to second-guess your salvation or your standing with God when the enemy whispers lies. You’re His. You’re forgiven. You’re equipped. So lace up your Gospel boots. Walk with confidence. And when the battle comes, plant your feet, remember who you are, and don’t give an inch.
