2 Timothy 4:8 “Henceforth there is laid up for me a crown of righteousness, which the Lord, the righteous judge, shall give me at that day: and not to me only, but unto all them also that love his appearing.”
When we think of crowns, we picture thrones and fanfare. But Paul was thinking about something greater—being rewarded by Jesus Himself. Not for popularity. Not for being perfect. But for being faithful.
You may feel unseen. Your obedience may go unnoticed. But God sees every act of love, every prayer whispered, every tear cried in quiet trust. And one day, the One who judges righteously will reward you fully and fairly. You might be surprised who’s wearing crowns in heaven—quiet intercessors, faithful Sunday School teachers, weary parents, praying grandparents.
As Billy Sunday once said, “I expect I’ll see some old gray-haired woman… She’ll probably get more rewards than I will.” Heaven will reveal the worth of a faithful life. Don’t lose heart. There’s a crown waiting. And Jesus will place it in the hands of those who loved His appearing.
