The Aroma of Faith

John 12:3 “Then took Mary a pound of ointment of spikenard, very costly… and the house was filled with the odour of the ointment.”

When Mary poured out her offering to Jesus, it didn’t stay confined to the jar—or even to the act itself. The fragrance filled the entire house. It affected everyone present. Worship does that. Real, heartfelt worship spills over and influences more than just the worshiper. It becomes a testimony, a statement, and even a conviction.

What kind of aroma fills your home, your church, your life? Mary’s gift was costly, but its impact was priceless. Her devotion filled the room—and two thousand years later, we can still smell the sweet aroma of faith. Every time you surrender to God, you’re adding to that fragrance. When worship flows from love and gratitude, it has a way of lingering far beyond the moment.
