The Gospel

Book: Romans

Romans 1:16 declares, “For I am not ashamed of the gospel of Christ: for it is the power of God unto salvation to every one that believeth.” In a dark, broken world filled with confusion, sin, and hopelessness, there is still one sure source of hope—the Gospel of Jesus Christ. This “good news” is the death, burial, and resurrection of Jesus, the only message with the power to transform hearts, forgive sin, and give eternal life.

Paul reminds us that the Gospel reveals the power of God—able to change even the chief of sinners. It reveals the purity of God—His righteousness offered to us by faith alone, not by works. And it warns of the punishment of God—the just wrath against sin for all who reject His offer of salvation. The need of our nation, and of every heart, is not simply better laws or moral reforms—it is the life-changing message of Christ crucified and risen again.

The Gospel that saved Paul is the same Gospel that can save anyone today. May we, like Paul, boldly say, “I am not ashamed of the Gospel of Christ.”
