God So Loved

Book: John

In John 3, Nicodemus—a respected religious leader—came to Jesus seeking answers. Jesus’ message was clear: religion cannot save; you must be born again. John 3:16 reveals the heart of God’s plan—His love for a sinful, broken world moved Him to give His only Son so that whoever believes in Him will not perish but have everlasting life.

God’s love is a love that sacrifices, seen in Christ’s death on the cross; a love that satisfies, meeting the deepest needs of the human soul; and a love that saves, bringing forgiveness and new life. He saw our problem—our sin and separation from Him—our poverty—unable to pay the debt of sin—and our personal need for His salvation.

Through Christ, we can have liberation: no condemnation, full pardon, and the privilege of being partakers of His grace, kindness, and guidance. This is the good news—God’s love is personal, powerful, and available to all who will believe.

“For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.” – John 3:16
