When we look around today, it’s easy to wonder: What in the world is happening? Our world seems upside-down. Good is called evil. Wrong is celebrated. Truth is discarded for convenience, and chaos is the result. But as Ecclesiastes reminds us-there’s nothing new under the sun. The sin, selfishness, and confusion we see now are the same patterns that have marked humanity since the fall.
👉 Why is our world in such decline?
Our culture has replaced truth with destructive philosophies:
- Individualism: “I’m my own authority; I decide what’s right for me.”
- Secularism: “God isn’t needed in public or personal life.”
- Relativism: “There’s no absolute right or wrong-only personal preference.”
Without God’s truth as the foundation, society collapses-families break down, violence increases, and sin is celebrated. As Isaiah warned, “Woe unto them that call evil good, and good evil.”
👉 What’s the solution?
The cure begins with rebuilding our lives on God’s unchanging truth. His Word is the standard by which right and wrong are defined-not shifting opinions or cultural trends. We must:
- Stand for truth
- Continue in truth
- Keep God first in our lives and homes
Ultimately, we can’t change the world’s direction-but we can choose to live for God and shine His light in a dark world.
