Ephesians 6:15 “And your feet shod with the preparation of the gospel of peace”
A soldier doesn’t wait until the battle to put on his boots. He’s ready before the trumpet sounds. The Roman soldier’s footwear gave him stability on rough terrain, protected his steps, and helped him stand firm when everything around him shook. Paul uses that image to remind us that if we’re going to stand in this spiritual war, we need the right shoes—shoes fitted with peace.
The peace of the Gospel isn’t just something we preach—it’s something we stand on. When the devil whispers doubt or drags up your past, you plant your feet in the truth that you are forgiven, justified, and forever loved by God. You stand knowing the battle isn’t yours—it’s the Lord’s. And because of Christ, you’re not fighting for victory; you’re fighting from victory. Stand tall today—not in your own strength—but in the peace that holds you steady.
