Prophecy Fulfilled

Matthew 2:6And thou Bethlehem… out of thee shall come a Governor, that shall rule my people Israel.

The religious leaders knew the Scriptures. They knew the prophecy. They knew the location of the Messiah’s birth. Yet knowing truth is not the same as following truth. It is sobering to realize that the chief priests could quote Micah 5:2, but none of them traveled the six miles to Bethlehem. The wise men journeyed from afar; the religious leaders wouldn’t walk next door.

How easy it is for Christians today to know the Bible but not follow it. To hear sermons but not live them. To quote verses but not be changed by them. God doesn’t bless biblical knowledge alone—He blesses biblical obedience. Let Bethlehem remind us that fulfilled prophecy proves God’s faithfulness, and our response proves our heart.
