Every day we make choices—big and small—that shape our lives and our walk with God. From simple routines to weightier financial and civic decisions, Scripture reminds us that these choices are not neutral. In Genesis 2–3 we see three movements: the design of a loving God, the deception of a lying devil, and the decision of a willing heart. God placed Adam and Eve in a good garden with generous freedom and one clear boundary (Gen. 2:15–17). That command tested love and loyalty. Enter the serpent—cunning and questioning—who first casts doubt on God’s Word, then flatly denies it (Gen. 3:1–5). The pattern hasn’t changed: Satan still corrupts minds away from “the simplicity that is in Christ” (2 Cor. 11:3).

Eve’s moment becomes our mirror. She saw the fruit as “good… pleasant… to be desired to make one wise” (Gen. 3:6)—the lust of the flesh, the lust of the eyes, and the pride of life (1 Jn. 2:16). Sin entered and death by sin (Rom. 5:12), yet grace abounded through Jesus Christ (Rom. 5:15). Like the two thieves beside the Lord (Luke 23:39–43), every heart must decide whom to believe. The wise path is clear: submit to God, resist the devil (Jas. 4:6–7), and walk in the Spirit(Gal. 5:16). Today, choose the Light—trust Christ, obey His Word, and let your daily decisions declare your devotion.
