Matthew 6:24 “No man can serve two masters…”
Imagine standing in the middle of a tug-of-war. Both sides are pulling, and your strength is slowly drained. That is what divided loyalty feels like. Loving God while trusting material security pulls the heart in opposite directions until exhaustion sets in.
Jesus does not shame us for this struggle—He exposes it so we can be free from it. Peace comes when we stop trying to balance two masters and choose one.
