Mark 6:48 “And about the fourth watch of the night he cometh unto them, walking upon the sea, and would have passed by them.”
It’s a strange moment—Jesus, walking on the sea toward His disciples, looks as if He might pass right by. He’s not ignoring them, and He’s not abandoning them. But He waits. He waits for them to see Him, to call out, to invite Him into the boat. He wasn’t forcing His presence—He was offering it.
I’ve had moments when God felt distant—when I was overwhelmed, discouraged, and unsure what to do next. But looking back, I realize He was never far away. He was walking right beside me, waiting for me to turn and call His name. Maybe today you feel like you’re in that same spot. The storm is real, the struggle exhausting. But Jesus is near. Don’t miss Him. Don’t let the noise of your situation drown out His presence. Look up. Call on Him. He’s not walking past to leave you—He’s walking near so you can reach out.
