Isaiah 36:14–15 “Thus saith the king, Let not Hezekiah deceive you: for he shall not be able to deliver you. Neither let Hezekiah make you trust in the LORD, saying, The LORD will surely deliver us: this city shall not be delivered into the hand of the king of Assyria.”
Rabshakeh’s words dripped with contempt—not just for Hezekiah, but for the God he trusted. The enemy’s voice wasn’t just military propaganda—it was spiritual warfare. He tried to drown out the quiet confidence of faith with loud threats of failure. It was a direct attack on trust. And how often does the enemy still do the same? Whispering lies that your faith is misplaced, your prayers are pointless, and God will not come through.
But behind those boasts stood a trembling kingdom unaware of what God was about to do. Satan wants to wear you down with fear, but you don’t have to give him that power. He cannot defeat what God defends. The Lord will deliver those who trust in Him, even when the voices of doubt roar loudest. Stand your ground. God’s Word is still stronger than any threat from the enemy.
