Faith Has Substance

Hebrews 11:1 “Now faith is the substance of things hoped for…”

The Greek word for “substance” means foundation — what something stands on. In other words, faith gives structure and stability to your hope. It’s not wishing. It’s not vague optimism. It’s confidence grounded in the unchanging promises of God.

Think about it — you walked into church and sat in a pew. You didn’t test it, inspect it, or stress over it. You just believed it would hold you. That’s faith. Now take that same quiet trust and apply it to the God who cannot lie, whose power never fails, and who has never broken a promise. That’s real substance.
