Don’t Just Start by Faith, Walk by It

Colossians 2:6 “As ye have therefore received Christ Jesus the Lord, so walk ye in him.”

Christians start their spiritual journey with faith in Jesus, but somewhere along the way, they trade trust for self-effort. Like a runner who begins strong but starts carrying unnecessary weight, they begin to rely more on routines than on relationship, more on activity than on abiding.

But the same way you received Christ — by faith — is how you’re meant to live every single day. Faith in His strength when you’re weak. Faith in His wisdom when you’re confused. Faith in His promises when you can’t see the outcome. Don’t try to finish in the flesh what began by faith.
