Critics in the Crowd

John 12:9–10 “Much people of the Jews therefore knew that he was there… But the chief priests consulted that they might put Lazarus also to death.”

Lazarus was living proof that Jesus had power over death—and that made him a target. The miracle was undeniable, but instead of leading the religious leaders to repentance, it pushed them to rage. They couldn’t deny Lazarus was alive. So, in their blindness, they plotted to kill him too.

Sometimes, your testimony will draw fire. When God changes your life, not everyone will cheer. Some will question. Some will oppose. But don’t hide your story—share it anyway. Lazarus didn’t say a word in this chapter, yet his life spoke so loudly that people believed in Jesus just by seeing him. That’s the power of a transformed life. Be bold. Let the evidence of God’s grace be seen—and trust Him with the opposition.
