Mark 6:50 “For they all saw him, and were troubled. And immediately he talked with them, and saith unto them, Be of good cheer: it is I; be not afraid.”
Fear has a way of blinding us. The disciples saw Jesus coming and didn’t recognize Him. They thought He was a ghost. Isn’t it amazing how trouble can twist even the presence of Jesus into something scary? But the moment He spoke—“It is I”—peace began to rise. His voice settled their hearts long before the storm itself ceased.
Friend, sometimes we miss Jesus in our fear. We mistake His approach for something to be afraid of. But He’s not there to scare you—He’s there to steady you. Listen for His voice above the crashing waves. “Be of good cheer—it is I.” He’s still the same Savior who walks through storms just to reach you.
