2 Timothy 4:7 “I have fought a good fight, I have finished my course, I have kept the faith.”
Paul didn’t see his life as a string of achievements but as a battlefield of faithfulness. He wasn’t bragging—he was testifying. The Christian life isn’t easy. It’s a fight to keep going when your body is tired, your heart is heavy, and your prayers feel unanswered. Yet Paul says, “I fought a good fight.” It was a good fight because it was for a good cause—the Gospel.
We’re not called to coast through life but to contend for the faith. There will be days when it feels like the world is against you, when even fellow believers disappoint you. But don’t quit. Like Paul, finish your course. Keep the faith when it’s hard to do so. When the final round comes and your race is over, may you look back not with regret, but with gratitude that you gave your life for what truly mattered.
