Lamentations 3:22 “It is of the LORD’S mercies that we are not consumed, because his compassions fail not.”
When Jeremiah looked at Israel, he wasn’t just grieving personal loss—he was grieving national decline. A once-godly nation had drifted slowly from the Lord. That didn’t happen overnight. It happened one compromise at a time, one ignored warning at a time.
As I look at Canada today, I see similar signs—confusion about truth, diminishing reverence for God, and growing spiritual apathy. Yet even here, mercy remains. God has not removed His compassion from this land. Judgment did not have the final word for Israel, and it does not have the final word for us either. Mercy still speaks, calling hearts back to Him.
