Jeremiah 17:9 “The heart is deceitful above all things…“
The world constantly says, “Follow your heart.” But God says, “Do not trust it.” Our emotions are inconsistent. Our thoughts wander. Our fears lie. When we depend on our own understanding, we end up discouraged or misled. That is why Scripture directs us to trust in the Lord with all our heart — not trust our heart.
The unknown becomes less intimidating when we lean on God’s truth instead of our own feelings. His wisdom is steady. His counsel is perfect. And His direction never leads us astray.
