Resting When Life Overwhelms

Jeremiah 29:10I will visit you, and perform my good word toward you…

God’s people in Babylon heard many voices telling them what their future would be. False prophets stirred confusion and anxiety. But God told His people to rest — not in predictions, not in emotions, but in His Word. When anxiety crowds the heart, the first step toward peace is resting in what God has already said.

God has never failed to perform His Word. You can rest in His promises even when you cannot see His hand. Rest is not laziness; it is faith in motion — choosing confidence in God over fear of the unknown.
