Matthew 2:10 “When they saw the star, they rejoiced with exceeding great joy.“
Their joy was not in the star itself, but in what the star led them to—Jesus. This is the pattern for every believer. True joy is never found in circumstances, signs, or blessings. Joy comes from Jesus alone. When the wise men realized they were near the Saviour, joy overflowed in their hearts.
Consider this: these men had crossed deserts, climbed mountains, and endured hardship. Yet every difficulty was forgotten when they came near to Christ. The closer you get to Jesus, the greater your joy will be. Joy is not the absence of difficulty—it is the presence of Christ. And when you see Him clearly, joy becomes “exceeding great.”
