The Shepherd’s Care

1 Peter 2:25 “For ye were as sheep going astray; but are now returned unto the Shepherd and Bishop of your souls.”

Sheep wander. It’s in their nature. And we, too, have a tendency to drift. But the Good Shepherd never lets His sheep go too far without pursuing them. He not only saves us; He keeps us. He not only forgives; He restores. He not only leads; He carries when we cannot walk.

Every Christian has a story of straying and returning. Perhaps you’ve walked away at times, following your own desires or stumbling into sin. Yet here you are, reading His Word again—because He sought you, found you, and drew you back. He is not only the Shepherd of our souls but the Overseer, watching with constant care.
