Handing Off the Baton

Titus 2:2–4 “That the aged men be sober, grave, temperate, sound in faith, in charity, in patience. The aged women likewise, that they be in behaviour as becometh holiness… that they may teach the young…”

Paul didn’t just finish well—he passed something on. That’s what legacy is all about. Christians, your “lap” in this race of life isn’t only about how you run—it’s about who you prepare to run after you. Every story you tell, every verse you quote, every time you bow your head in prayer—it’s all part of handing off the baton.

Our world doesn’t always value age, but God does. The wisdom of a life lived for Christ can shape generations. Maybe you won’t get to see your grandchildren every day. Maybe you don’t have kids or grandkids at all. But you still influence someone. Your faith, your prayers, your walk—they matter.

You might not run as fast anymore. But you can still run faithfully. And you can still hand off something eternal to those coming behind you.
