The Anchor Still Holds

Hebrews 6:19–20 “Which hope we have as an anchor of the soul, both sure and stedfast, and which entereth into that within the veil; whither the forerunner is for us entered, even Jesus…”

Anchors don’t stop storms — they hold you steady through them. The writer of Hebrews reminds us that our hope in Christ is not a wish or a feeling. It’s an anchor. It’s firm. It’s secure. And it’s fastened not to something on earth, but to Jesus Himself — who has gone before us into heaven, guaranteeing our access to God.

Storms come — grief, loss, fear, unanswered questions. They shake everything. But not the anchor. When life pulls at your soul, when your mind spins and your emotions rise, you can rest knowing your hope is fixed. You’re not anchored to your performance, your circumstances, or your ability to hold on. You’re anchored to Jesus — and He holds you.

If you’re feeling tossed today, remember this: the anchor still holds. Not because you’re strong — but because He is.
