John 12:1–2 “Then Jesus six days before the passover came to Bethany, where Lazarus was which had been dead… Lazarus was one of them that sat at the table with him.”
Lazarus didn’t just come back to life—he came back to fellowship. The man once sealed in a tomb was now reclining at the table with Jesus. That’s the power of resurrection. It doesn’t just pull you out of death; it invites you into communion. Lazarus wasn’t standing on the edge watching others enjoy the meal—he was part of it. Fully alive. Fully included.
This is what salvation does. It doesn’t leave us in a graveyard of guilt. It brings us to the table. It lets us laugh again, serve again, worship again. If you’ve been raised from the death of sin, then take your seat beside Jesus. The invitation is real, and the fellowship is sweet. Dead men don’t dine—but redeemed people do.
